You know that I'm a big fan-girl when I read that and think, "OH COOL! I can watch Firefly all day!", when I already own the DVDs.

      Durp <lol>.

I already own the DVD box set as well, but find that I will sit down and watch Firefly anytime I catch it on the Sci-Fi channel or the Universal HD Channel.

Also looking forward to seeing the Inside Serenity speical on Sci-Fi channel in Sept/Oct.

You guys are definitely my peeps, I do the exact same thing. In fact, back in '03 I was on vacation in Mexico, and they had it on TV in Spanish, and I had to stay in our hotel room and watch. I'm psycho-addicted.

Similar to Tribe, I think the attraction to watching it on TV is that you know a bunch of OTHER people are watching it (or at least TiVoing) at the same time, so there's a more communal thing going on. At least that's my pop-psychological take...

I hadn't thought of that possibility, Scott : ). I have to say that watching it in a theater with a bunch if Browncoats is the BEST way!!! Can't wait to do that again.

          YES! That's it exactly.

            *laughing*

            I love this line:

"Oh, you are a tweaked one you are."

Mal has another great line to Saffron about her craziness later in the ep, but I've forgotten what it is. Suppose I'll find out. :)

              That's it!

"I hate to bring up our imminent arrest during your CRAZY TIME..."

Whedon (and his writers) certainly know the funny. Pretty much every ep has a dozen great quotables, that's one reason why they're so fun to watch over and over.

                  Yep. Gotta love it. :)

Yes. Not just great lines, but great reactions from other cast members once they're said!

"That's why I never kiss 'em on the mouth."

                    "Bye now. Have good sex!"

"Yes, I-- I've heard good things about the mud... Lot of people are talking about the mud."

"Look, they got boy whores! Isn't that thoughtful?"

That first line was probably Jayne's finest moment - absolutely hilarious. Especially the double-takes everyone did off it.

I was just watching "Safe" again the other day . Simon: "I'm sorry if we're tipping them off to your cunningly concealed herd of cows..."

And my favorite from Simon (in "Janyestown") "OK, OK, I'll do it, just quit...DESCRIBING me!"

I love the whole bit about "she's a witch! Yes but she's our witch" Makes me think of Monty Python and then I giggle even harder.
